At Castle Ridge Cardigan Welsh Corgis, our goal is first and foremost to truly enjoy life with our dogs—and, when the right match comes along, to thoughtfully share them with others who value this remarkable breed as much as we do.
Our Cardigans are not kennel dogs; they are family. They live, work, and play alongside us on our Upstate New York farm, where they enjoy daily walks across over 70 acres of trails, swim in the creek, and participate in the rhythm of a working farm—often helping move the goat herd or simply observing from a sunny hillside. This environment allows our dogs to develop sound minds, strong bodies, and stable, confident temperaments.
We breed with intention and restraint, guided by a deep respect for the Cardigan Welsh Corgi’s history, purpose, and breed standard. Preservation of correct structure, temperament, and working ability is the driving force behind every breeding decision we make. Each litter is carefully planned, not only to produce beautiful dogs, but to contribute positively to the future of the breed.
Our puppies are raised in the home with extensive hands-on socialization, early neurological stimulation, and exposure to real-life experiences. We place a strong emphasis on temperament evaluation and matching each puppy to the most appropriate home, whether that be a performance, show, working, or devoted companion setting.
All puppies are:
-
Given age-appropriate preventatives (first distemper vaccine and routine deworming)
-
Microchipped through AKC Reunite
-
Temperament tested
-
AKC registered
-
From parents who are fully health screened with CHIC requirements satisfied

We are committed to lifelong support for our puppy owners and value relationships built on trust, transparency, and shared dedication to the breed.
